It was a really cute movie, it’s far from perfect and not one of the best Disney movies but I still liked it. I love Ralph, Vanellope and Tamora so much. They’re amazing characters. Especially Tamora even though I wish she had more scenes.

The only thing I didn’t like about the movie was the whole romance between Tamora and Felix. They barely had any chemistry at all and it was just mostly one sided on Felix’s part. Was Disney really just desperate to shoe in a romantic couple in this film? Like the film would not be good without these two randomly getting together? :| Disney, I love you but can you please stop trying to jam heteronormativity down my throat for once? I mean, I would be ok with this couple if they actually had good scenes that developed their characters and showed us why they’re good for each other like how it’s been done with the other movies. But they don’t. Felix just kind of hits on her in his own dorky way and she’s uncomfortable around him when he’s like that. And I’m sorry but that’s just not ok with me. It felt like it was catering to “Nice” guys in that department and I can only shake my head at that thought.

But other than that, it was a really cute movie and I love all the cameos from other video game characters too. :)

Ok, fandom, can we have a talk here? I know that I’ve only just started getting into Star Trek a couple months ago but I feel the need to say this because some fans are really pissing me off.

Ok so, why are most of you so determined and confident that Spock and Uhura are defiantly going to break up in the next film? I get it, you don’t like the pairing. If you prefer to ship them both with other characters, that’s fine. But if you just think that Uhura’s in the way of Kirk and Spock’s relationship or that her relationship with Spock has nothing going for it or that it’s problematic for her character than you need to shut the fuck up.

UHURA IS NOT IN THE WAY OF SPOCK AND KIRK BEING CLOSE FRIENDS OR EVEN LOVERS. Seriously, why is it when fandom wants two males to be in a romantic relationship, they automatically assume that any female who dates one of them is the cause for not having a queer couple become canon? It’s fucking not. If there’s anyone to blame, it’s the fucking media that doesn’t want to show a queer couple on a science fiction franchise that’s popular throughout all age groups. Because god fucking forbid that children get exposed to it, GASP, it could scar them for life or even forcibly turn them gay! We just can’t have that! /sarcasm. Look, there’s still going to be fantastic friendship moments between Kirk and Spock in the next movie. Spock Prime made fucking sure that they would always be friends, even in an alternative universe. We’re still going to get our Kirk/Spock moments. So you can stop pointing fingers at Uhura and thinking that she’s the problem. She’s not and fuck you if you still believe she is.

Spock and Uhura’s feelings for each other are deep, mutual, loving and respectful. There’s nothing shallow or pointless about their relationship. They have some problems here and there but every couple does. They both learn to work it out because they’re professional and want to make the relationship work out. Uhura isn’t just going to suddenly dump him because of any flaws he might have and the same goes for Spock. They respect each other entirely. Seriously, what the hell would be the point of them being together in the 2009 film if all they’re going to do is break up in the next film? That development between them would be utterly pointless and it wouldn’t be fair for Uhura’s character. Don’t like the pairing? Fine. But please, PLEASE acknowledge that their relationship is real and deep and that breaking up as soon as the next movie would be really bad writing and out of character for both of them.

There is nothing fucking problematic about Uhura and Spock being together. She’s not just there to be “the girlfriend.” Although we don’t have many scenes of her in the 2009 movie, she has been seen hanging out with friends, working hard at her job, and generally having her own life outside of Spock’s. SHE HAS A FUCKING AGENDA OF HER OWN ON THE MOVIE, OK FANDOM? I would get into this more but here’s a wonderful essay that explains it much MUCH better than I do. Please click right here to read it.

Now before any of you pull the “SPOCK AND UHURA BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP IS AGAINST THE RULES ON STARFLEET” excuse, please let me tell you a few things. First off, if Spock broke up with Uhura for that reason, he’s not going to date anyone else on the Enterprise. Period. He won’t get with Kirk, he won’t get with McCoy, he won’t get with ANYONE even if they tried their hardest too. I’m really sick of seeing that kind of hypocritical bullshit when I read nu Kirk/Spock fanfics. Secondly, romantic relationships for Star Fleet officers aren’t forbidden, they’re just looked down upon and discouraged. Spock is a person who, for the most, strictly obeys the regulations of Starfleet. If this was truly a strict rule then Spock would’ve been saying something about it in the first place with Uhura. He wouldn’t have allowed them to be together from the very beginning. He’s not just going to suddenly bring it up after months or years of dating her. Lastly, NOBODY GIVES A FLYING FUCK ABOUT THAT RULE AND HAVE NEVER BROUGHT IT UP WITH EITHER OF THEM WHEN THEY WERE MAKING OUT IN THE TRANSPORTER ROOM. Not even Kirk who was promoted to CAPTAIN just before that moment.

I have said this before and will say it again, it’s ok if you don’t like this pairing as long as there are no bullshit excuses that you have for disliking it. If you just prefer to ship them both with other characters, that’s fine. If you don’t like ANY kind of pairing in Star Trek, that’s fine too. But when you make crappy excuses such as the ones I stated earlier, that’s where we have a fucking problem. There’s also a problem if you don’t like pairing Spock with a black women but will pair him with all sorts of white people. Or if you have Spock paired with someone for all of his life while Uhura gets no one and has to deal with being forever alone. FUCK that shit.

Look, I LOVE Kirk/Spock. I love their dynamics with each other and I love the fact that they have a lot of moments with each other. But fandom, can you please stop bashing Spock/Uhura just because you think it’s in the way of your otp? I love Spock/Uhura almost as much as Kirk/Spock and it really upsets me to see people say crap about them.

I’m probably gonna get a lot of flames for writing this but whatever. I’ve wanted to say all of this for a while; I just never got the chance to sit down and fully write it out.

I’ve already done a small rant about the ridiculous and sexist “Sakura Meme” that was going around for a while. I’m not gonna reblog the original post again because it pisses me off to look at it but I am going to point out why every one of those meme images is wrong. I feel that I should’ve said more last time so here’s this to make up for it. The person who made the meme will probably not even see this but here’s my rant anyway for the rest of you to hopefully enjoy.

IN A FIGHT GREAT TIME FOR A HAIR CUT

Way to really misinterpret this scene, asshole. First off, she had to cut her hair because someone was grabbing it and wouldn’t let her go. She didn’t have the strength to force the person’s hands off of her nor could she pull away. Secondly, the ninja attacking were actually mocking her and calling her vain for keeping her hair long and beautiful. She originally wanted to keep it long to impress Sasuke because she overheard that he liked girls with long hair. Thirdly, Sakura cutting her hair was meant to show that she’s grown as a character and that she would die to protect her comrades. She no longer cared wither her appearance was going to attract the person she likes or not. So, no, she didn’t cut her hair as a means to look prettier, she did it to grow up. I seriously think you need to re-watch that episode because you clearly missed the point here.

BOYS THAT RISK THEIR LIFE FOR YOU REJECT

Sakura doesn’t owe Naruto and Lee a relationship just because they saved her life on some occasions. She doesn’t have feelings for them and she possibly never will. How the hell is this classified as ungrateful? She’s thanked both of them for their selfless actions and never insulted them for saving her. She cherishes the friendship that she has with Naruto and Lee and doesn’t want to change that. But of course, HOW DARE SHE PUT THEM IN THE FRIEND ZONE AND TREAT THEM WITH KINDNESS AND RESPECT. If she actually had to date one of them, for that reason, than that’s being disrespectful and unfair to her. Naruto and Lee would never ever want her to be unhappy like that anyway. Neither of them would force a relationship from her and if they did, they’d get their asses kicked really hard by both Sakura and their sensei’s. Stop hating her just because she doesn’t share feelings for certain characters. Seriously? Her only self-worth is loving the person YOU think is right for her? I’m sorry but fuck you. She should have every damn right in the world to love whoever she wants and to choose who she wants to date.

EXETREME STRENGTH, SMART, POWERFUL MEDICAL NINJA USELESS

Stop blaming this character for not getting the spotlight in fights. It’s not her god damn fault and it never will be. It’s Kishimoto’s fault because he ignores most of his female characters and just makes a bullshit excuse that he doesn’t know how to write them. She’s not useless and fuck you if you think she still is. She healed injured people during the Pain Invasion arc. She can make medicine and healing herbs. She’s currently healing injured people during the war and keeping close attention to anyone who might be a fake. Oh yeah, did you miss the part where she smashes a fake Neji right to the fucking ground and doesn’t even get up from her chair to do it? If you want to complain about her being ignored and needing more screen time and development, that’s fine because I agree with that. But don’t call her useless because of it, she’s not.

ABOUT TO KILL SASUKE NEVERMIND. I CAN’T DO IT

Neither can Naruto but hey, he’s a boy! Let’s just continually call Sakura out for still loving Sasuke and having faith that he may return to Konoha but worship Naruto for doing the exact same thing. Fuck, the double standards in this fucking fandom are so absurd and misogynist. I believe that even if she did her best, she wouldn’t be able to kill Sasuke because he’s a lot more powerful than she is. Besides, that moment was to show us that she’s still in love with Sasuke and truly cares for his wellbeing no matter how much he’s fucked up. Sakura really does see that Sasuke’s become evil but she also sees someone that is hurt, confused, lost and lonely because of all the crap that’s been happening in his life.

COMFORTS FRIEND WANT TO BE COMFORTED INSTEAD

Yeah, it’s not like Sakura was recently put through a lot of shit, has to deal with knowing that the boy she deeply loves is now a criminal and that her mentor’s in a coma and could die at any moment. How dare she be human and think about herself? It’s not everyone else had their own moments of being selfish and wanting comfort from friends. :|

TEAMMATES FIGHTING? CRY

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck youuuuuuuu. Sakura can cry all she wants when her friends are fighting, especially if she can’t do anything about it. Naruto and Sasuke are ridiculously powerful ninja, Kakashi can only get so close to their abilities and he’s a fucking jonin. Sakura is a strong warrior but she doesn’t have the strength to stop either of them from going at each other’s throats. The only things she can do are watch and pray that the outcome won’t end in death for either of them. Do you have any idea how heart breaking it is for her to have the ability to do nothing but watch her two teammates try to kill each other? It hurts her. It truly HURTS like hell for her to be a witness to these events. She has every right to be upset about it because there’s nothing she can really do. I’m really fucking tired of seeing people that’ll bash Sakura for showing her emotions but won’t say anything about everyone else doing the same god damn thing. Kishimoto has his characters cry to show that ninja’s are really not tools or weapons despite what they’ve been raised to believe; they’re fucking human beings and Sakura happens to be one of them.

I FINALLY LOVE YOU BACK NARUTO JUST KIDDING

Sakura doesn’t love Naruto. Get the fuck over it already. While that was a poorly written part, Sakura was only doing what she, at the time, thought was best. She no longer wanted Naruto to be hurt by his promise that he made to her but then realized that Naruto will try to bring Sasuke back with or without the promise. Granted, she didn’t need to feel guilty about it and as far as I’m concerned, Sai and Shikamaru can go die in a fucking fire for treating Sakura like she needed to feel bad. Also, you do realize that Naruto rejected her on the spot when she said her false confession, right? He wants Sakura to be happy; he never wants to see her force herself into a romantic relationship with him.

You know what? I think you really need to look up “Nice Guy Syndrome” sometime when you’re not too busy writing Sakura being killed off in your crappy fanfics or fanart.

FIND OUT HER ONLY FRIEND LIKES THE SAME GUY HATE HER FOREVER AND END FRIENDSHIP

She broke up her friendship with Ino because she needed to break out of Ino’s shadow. She wanted to stand up for herself and be her own person. She wanted to show Ino herself that she can strong and powerful without help. They just happened to like the same person around that time I’m pretty sure Sakura would’ve ended the friendship even if Sasuke wasn’t around. And guess what? Sakura was able to prove her capability and strength to Ino when they had their fight in the chuunin exams. And guess what also? THEY MADE UP AND THEY’VE BEEN FRIENDS AGAIN SINCE THAT MOMENT. Yes, they still have a rivalry, they argue sometimes but they hang out with each other and even laugh at the fact that how they both acted to each other.

Ok….. WHAT? I don’t ship Aragorn/Eowyn but seriously, telling her to fuck off just because she happened to fall in love with Aragorn is really unnecessary and uncalled for. Yes, she continually tried to pursue him but I’ve never seen him get annoyed enough to tell her to “fuck off.” He simply just told her that they couldn’t be together but he still considered her a good friend. She never made him uncomfortable, she never took things too far such as trying to force herself on him or be some creepy stalker and she never even mentioned anything bad about Arwen.

I’m sorry but this post just really rubs me the wrong way.
